first things first.
i havent been posting.
why?
i just dont feel like it...
and because of camp.
i didnt really think that camp was going to be fun.
i pretty much expected it to be as much of a hell hole as june camp.
but in some crazy miracle shyt, it was actually quite (wth) fun.
maybe cos its my second camp...
but on the whole, i enjoyed it!
im still quite shocked, to think about it..
camp turned out what the ventures said it would be - fun!
(maybe i should listen to them more)
the first day was ok.. and its mostly some memory fuzz...
15 min layout.
that was good, cos i didnt have to rush my ass off.
and downing wasnt that severe.
or maybe we did down as much as june camp...
or even more,
just that i can cope better now??
(all the'exercise' might have made me fitter!) XD
we managed to set up camp pretty fast, but the ground was bleddy muddy.
and that muddy ground is the cause of numerous shyts, all to be explained later.
second day.
also has memory fuzz...
i think we had a cooking comepetition.
and shark's (my patrol, btw) food sucked. our 'nasi lemak'was soaked in coconut oil.
and our chicken was bloody.
and there was plastic in our curry puffs.
etc.
i only ate the rice, obviously XD.
and i think we had batch dynamics, the one thing i really dread during camp.
and this batch dynamics was much, much, much, much, much, worse than june camp's
it was like bridge, and then conveyor belt.
in the raja block field.
(which by the way, had 3cm of mud, sharp rocks, bigger sharp rock XD, ants by the millons and other fun stuff)
and (not really) coincidentally both involve a lot of contact with the ground.
so basically at the end of batch dynamics, my shirt was soaked (literally) in mud, my shorts (there was mud in my pockets XD) and hair too, and my knees and hands had scratches everywhere (they still do).
oh, and antbites everywhere.
and the was mud in my undies and on my!!! XD
third day was basically hike day, and it wasnt an urban hike, which immediately changes it from boring to fun.
it started at macritchie, then up bukit timah, then down bukit timah, to some jelutong tower thingie, then to lornie road, then all the way bak to the starting point, then to the underpass closest to rj, then back to ri.
phewf.
i think all the mud, and scenery made up for my legs aching (and they still are) XD
then fourth day was basically clearing camp, in which we slacked (and i mean everyone, even hardcorers) and anticipation of payback.
there wasnt any, except for like 40 push ups and 30 crunches, which wasnt really much of a payback.
then we went home. well, i did, and the others could have hung around and slept another day (they didnt) XD
and now im home.
whats the point of camp, i ask myself,
and from the wise mouth of wai chong XD comes the answer.
"to appreciate home" and every other day that isnt camp. XD
